What impact does your upbringing have on your relationship with money?
By the time you listen to this episode, I will have already begun maternity leave. With our second child on the horizon, my husband and I had been pondering an important question: What’s the best way to go about raising your kids when it comes to money?
Should you step back and let your kids figure things out for themselves? Or, is it better to set them up and help them with things like college and housing?
I didn’t become financially literate until I reached my thirties. When I was a child, my parents rarely discussed money and, even though we weren’t poor, I recall having a slight distaste for people that had an abundance of money.
Before listening to this podcast, please understand that I don’t have all the right answers when it comes to your kids and money. I merely wanted to add to the discussion by sharing my story and talking through my current thought process.
